Overwhelmed by dock options?
Let us help you choose
What is important when buying a dock?
Visual appeal, stability, durability, reliability, and ease of installation.
Most of this comes down to personal preference, and asking yourself a few questions:
-Am I servicing this myself or will I be hiring a lake service provider?
-Do I have room for a roll-in? Or do I like the stackable sections?
-How far off of shore do I need to be in 4’ to 5’ of water?
-Is my lake bottom firm, sandy, rocky, muddy, or soft?
There is a lot to think about when buying a dock. What is important is the very little precious time you get at the lake. We understand that, and make it our top priority to only sell products that will maximize the fun times and reduce the head-aches caused by faulty equipment. We’ve been there. The dock needs to be in by fishing opener, but it has a flat tire. The rain won’t stop, and my dock is underwater. Nobody wants to replace the wood decking on the 4th of July weekend. Confidence and reliability are key.
That’s why we only sell products we can stand behind, and why Carlson Dock and Barge has been Alexandria Lakes Area’s lakeshore lifestyle specialists for 10 years and running. With almost 20 years industry knowledge, we host the most educated staff in the area. You can count on us to provide you with the correct information on a wide variety of makes and models across the industry.
We are the local area dealer for Porta-Dock, ShoreStation, Voyager Dock, and DH Docks. We have been fortunate to represent these brands and proudly display them in our new year-round showroom.
