Summer is loud. Phones ringing, installers rolling out at sunrise, lifts hitting the water, customers stopping by with questions and ideas for the cabin. It’s organized chaos—our favorite kind.
Then winter arrives, and the entire business exhales.
When summer shuts down, everything changes. The phones go quiet, the showroom feels a little bigger, and the chaos we lived in for six months settles into a kind of winter stillness. It’s the reset button the entire industry depends on—even if nobody ever sees it.
Outside, new freight starts showing up in the cold: stacks of lifts, dock sections, and accessories that won’t touch water until May. Inside, heaters hum in the shop while lifts get assembled one by one, long before anyone thinks about opening the cabin again.
And in the office, the lights stay on later than most people imagine. Reports up on both screens. Coffee that went cold an hour ago. You start reviewing, forecasting, tracing patterns across thousands of lake homes. Because winter is when next season gets built—quietly, piece by piece.
There’s no rush. No last-minute installs. No weather windows to chase. Just the space to think clearly about what the lakes will need and how to be ready for it.
We study what moved this year… what didn’t… which lakes surged in activity… what customers asked for that we want to be ahead of next time. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s crucial. The decisions we make now decide whether spring starts fast and smooth—or whether we spend April playing catch-up. That’s never been our style.
So the winter rhythm continues. Lifts get assembled in the shop. Assemblies turn into complete builds. Parts get sorted, tagged, and staged. We work through the new product changes coming for next year—getting our hands on every update so we’re sharper, faster, and better prepared when we’re reintroduced to our customers at trade shows, and they’re looking for answers.
Alongside that, we start building the queue of new sales for spring installs. Early conversations, early planning, early setups—everything that lets us hit the ground running the moment the ice lets go.
Most people see the final result on a sunny May morning: clean installs, tight schedules, the right products available at the right time. What they don’t see is the long winter discipline that makes all of it look effortless.
And honestly? We like it that way. This is the work we’re built for.
